How to use it
Morning, evening or both. There's no schedule to work up to.
Two or three drops
Warm them between your palms first. An oil spreads much further once it's warm.
Press it in, last
Over any water-based serum. Oils go on after everything thinner than they are, never underneath.
Or use it as a booster
A drop mixed into your moisturiser in the palm works just as well if you'd rather not add a step.
Bakuchiol, next to the alternatives
Three ways to approach the same thing, with very different demands on your skin.

What's inside and why it's there
Nineteen ingredients, and the full INCI is on this page. No water, no preservatives, no fillers. Gluten free, nut free and vegan.
Bakuchiol
A plant compound and the most studied of the retinol alternatives — the one with published research rather than just a marketing claim. Placed above four of the oils in this bottle, which tells you it isn't a token inclusion.
Rosehip, Evening Primrose + Jojoba
With organic strawberry, raspberry and blueberry seed oils behind them, and vitamin E throughout. Rosehip in particular is the oil people reach for when they're working on tone and texture.
Undecane + Tridecane
Light plant-derived emollients that carry the oils into the skin and then lift away. They're the reason this reads as a serum rather than something greasy sitting on your face.
Questions people ask before buying
A compound found in plants, and the retinol alternative with the most research behind it — which is not something you can say about most ingredients marketed that way. It's here seventh of nineteen ingredients, above four of the oils.
None, and no vitamin A derivative of any kind. The full list of nineteen ingredients is on this page — it's bakuchiol, plant oils, vitamin E and the fragrance.
Any of them. Retinol gets saved for night because light degrades it and it makes skin more sun-sensitive. Bakuchiol does neither, so there's no reason to hide it at bedtime.
Less than you'd expect from an oil serum. Undecane and tridecane carry the oils in and then evaporate, so what's left behind is a soft finish rather than a slick. Two drops is plenty — most greasiness is over-application.
Usually yes. Rosehip, raspberry and strawberry are light, dry-feeling oils rather than heavy ones. Start with one or two drops at night and see how your skin responds before using it in the morning too.
Not on its own, and it's worth being clear about that. There's no water in the formula, so it seals moisture in rather than bringing it. If your skin is dehydrated, put a water-based hydrating serum underneath and use this over the top.
Because there's no water. Microbes need water to grow, so an oil-only formula doesn't need preserving the way a cream or a water-based serum does. That's how the list stays at nineteen ingredients.
Yes — a drop or two in the palm with your cream works well, and it's a good way in if you'd rather not add another step. It's designed to work as a booster as much as a standalone serum.
Green and floral from real geranium flower oil, over the soft nuttiness the seed oils bring on their own. Four allergens are declared on the INCI: geraniol, citronellol, linalool and geranyl acetate.
Put it over
An oil seals rather than hydrates. Something water-based underneath gives it more to work with.
