It goes on as an oil-gel and turns to milk the moment water touches it. That switch is done by sucrose laurate and sucrose palmitate — sugar esters, not sulfates — which is why it lifts a full face of make-up without the tight, squeaky feeling a foaming cleanser leaves behind.

How to use
Dry hands, dry face. Work it over the skin for thirty seconds or so and let the oil do its job on make-up, sunscreen and the day's build-up. Then wet your fingers and keep massaging — it turns milky as the water goes in.
Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with your usual cleanser if you're double cleansing, or stop there on a low make-up day. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.

Massage, then wet your fingers
Thirty seconds of oil, then add water and keep going. It turns milky in your hands as it emulsifies.
Rinse lukewarm
